Diaverum Portugal, in partnership with NOVA Medical School (NMS), presents the MedCook Book – Health at the Table: Nutrition adapted for chronic kidney disease patients, a publication that combines flavour with science, promoting food literacy and improving the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease.

The official launch took place on 26 October during the Nutrition Science Student (N2S) Conference, organised by NMS.
The MedCook Book features a diverse selection of starters, main dishes, and desserts, developed by teams from Diaverum, NMS, and participants of the annual MedCook Challenge competition.
All recipes were carefully adapted to meet the nutritional needs of people with renal insufficiency, while maintaining the pleasure of eating well and healthily.
More than just a recipe book, this publication serves as a practical and educational tool for nutritionists, caregivers, and chronic kidney disease patients, contributing to food literacy and supporting better disease management through diet.
Diaverum Portugal expresses its gratitude to all professionals, students, and teams involved in this project, whose dedication made possible the creation of a unique resource combining scientific knowledge, creativity, and human care.
