Diaverum Loures took part in the Loures Health and Well-being Festival, held on 30 and 31 May at Parque Adão Barata.

Over the two days, the unit’s multidisciplinary team carried out around 150 blood pressure and blood glucose screenings. Several people with values indicating potential health risks were identified and referred to their local health centre, reinforcing the importance of early diagnosis and health literacy.

For Carla Ferreira, Head Nurse at Diaverum Loures, the participation went far beyond screening:

“It was an excellent opportunity to promote health education and kidney disease prevention, while also raising awareness of the work carried out by Diaverum among the other organisations taking part in the event. It was also very rewarding to welcome several of our patients who, after learning about our participation in the festival, made a point of visiting our stand accompanied by their family members.”

We would like to thank the Municipality of Loures for organising this initiative, as well as everyone who visited our stand and contributed to another opportunity to strengthen our connection with the community.
