As part of the 2026 Douro Valley Half Marathon, Diaverum’s Peo da Régua clinic was present at the event expo, held on May 23 during participants race bib collection.
With the aim of reinforcing its mission to promote health and prevent kidney disease, Diaverum provided a dedicated space for screening and public awareness. Troughout the day, approximately 45 free screenings were carried out, including blood pressure measurements and capillary blood glucose testing.
The iniciative enabled direct contact with athletes, family members and visitors, providing moments of guidance and clarification on the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles and regularly monitoring risk factors associated with chronic kidney disease, such as hypertension and diabetes.

In addition to the care-related component, Diaverum’s presence was an opportunity to raise awareness of the brand, its activities, and its ongoing commitment to improving the quality of life of people liveng with kidney disease.
Participation in this event is part of Diaverum’s strategy of community engagement, promoting health literacy initiatives and contributing to the early detection of risk factors that may impact kidney health.

The Douro Valley Half marathon, considered one of the country's most iconic running events and held in a UNESCO World Heritage landscape, brought together thousands of participants in a celebration of sport, well-being, and the region's unique heritage.
