Diaverum Portugal held its Annual Meeting on 15 and 16 January, in Caldas da Rainha, bringing together more than 80 leaders from across the organisation.

The meeting focused on Sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) principles, reinforcing Diaverum’s ongoing commitment to responsible, ethical and future-oriented practices.

In a global context where ESG is increasingly challenged and questioned, Diaverum reaffirmed the importance of embedding sustainability into its organisational strategy, recognising the role of every employee — individually and collectively — in building a fairer and more sustainable world.

Annual 01

Over the two-day programme, sustainability was explored across its different dimensions. The international and national context was addressed by Ana Dinis, followed by the clinical perspective, led by Rui Filipe and Mónica Silva, with particular emphasis on a presentation on longevity by Carla Sousa Pontes, from CUF.

During a team-building session facilitated by Sofia Cotrim, participants were challenged to transform household waste and materials from the clinics into pieces of art, reinforcing the sustainability message in a practical and engaging way.

Leadership was also a key focus, with an open and transparent discussion on the challenges and vulnerabilities of leadership. This session was moderated by Sofia Correia de Barros and featured contributions from Céu Carvalho (KPMG), Rafael Romanini, and Rui Filipe.
A further team-building moment, facilitated by Ana Dinis and Joana Cal, encouraged teams to reflect on contributions and opportunities for more sustainable practices in day-to-day work. The meeting concluded with an inspiring presentation by Catarina Pestana, who reflected on the challenges of brand and leadership longevity, drawing on the example of Vista Alegre and the celebration of its 200-year history.

Noteworthy contributions were also made by Fernando Macário and Rafael Romanini, who brought the M42 Health perspective on clinical leadership and strategic integration with Diaverum.

Annual 02

Diaverum Portugal would like to thank all participants, and especially the teams responsible for organising and facilitating the Annual Meeting, whose commitment and dedication were instrumental to the success of this event.

This Annual Meeting reaffirmed Diaverum’s belief that responsible, sustainable leadership aligned with ESG principles is essential to ensure the organisation’s longevity and the quality of care delivered — today and in the future.
